The Art Dreco Manifesto
Julie Marsh, Development Director, shows off "Claws par Nuit" and the Sheismacher masterpiece which inspired it.
The Dreco Artists Collective was founded by Julie Marsh, the Development Director of the Art Dreco Institute and artist, in 2001. Ms. Marsh, conceived of an exhibit of Dreco inspired artwork to accompany the collection. Participating are Ms Marsh, Stela Mandel, Elly Simmons, and Sharon Paster .
"Life is a celebration and one must laugh, even in the face of
pain. Why Art Dreco? The question is rather, Why Not Art Dreco? To see
beauty in ugliness, to see creativity in all form, to understand the human
drive to create and animate, to use the most diverse of objects to a practical
end, to be so bad that one is grand; how could this not inspire and put
one in awe of the breadth and magnitude of the sacred space of creation?"
