The Art Dreco Revival hit the Bay Area like a Tsunami tide. Assisted by a rave Bay Guardian review and TV coverage, a Dreco starved public swarmed to the opening party on July 14th at Paxton Gate Gallery in San Francisco. In addition to the Art Dreco collection the exhibition marked the opening of the Dreco Artists Collective. The 2001 exhibition included new dreco categories, such as Furniture Dreco, Tie Dreco, thanks to Ed Mickelous collection, and Audio Dreco, thanks to noted collectors Micky McGowan and Joe Paulino.
On July 28th the First Annual Art Dreco Roadshow was held, resulting in many additions to the collection.
After a successful seven week run the exhibition has been returned to the bonded warehouse until the next time it can be unleashed upon the world.
