Dear Kimberly Clark,

I have been thinking of little but your Sunday November 24th advertisement in Parade Magazine   (Enclosed below).   It is truly a stunning achievement.   I find myself spending most of my days trying to understand it and I write this letter hoping that you can help.

• What's going on with the toilet paper?
• Is it supposed to take the place of a bridal train?
• Was it caught on the brides shoes and Ruth Malloy is removing it?
• Who is Ruth Malloy and what does she symbolize?
• Why is she in Human Relations?

• The first slogan says “Scott's thousands of soft tissues can seem to last an eternity.   -   Are you trying to compare the life of a roll of Scott tissue with the life of a marriage?  
• The second slogan says “Common Sense on a Roll.”   What's that supposed to mean?

I would very much appreciate answers to these questions and an explanation of the history of this advertisement.
