The Art Dreco Institute was founded by Paul Drexler in 1973 in Amherst Massachusetts for the purpose of Art Dreco research and education. Public unrest led to The Institute's move to 323 Noe Street in San Francisco in 1978, where it was on public display until 1990. The Institute's collection has been featured in newspapers, magazines on radio and TV, including AM Boston, Paul Harvey News and San Francisco AM, and has been exhibited in Amherst, Boston and San Francisco. Financial setback due to investments in Polyester futures caused The Institute to temporarily suspend operations. After a 20 year hiatus the Art Dreco Institute has re-opened and can be seen online at www.artdreco.com.
