The first annual Art Dreco Roadshow was a stunning success. Director Paul Drexler, aided by Research Drecoist Joe Paulino, Associate Tester Carol Marques, Development Director Julie Marsh and assistants Lily and Michelle Drexler examined and analyzed over 45 pieces of possible Dreco, 11 of which met the stringently low standards of Art Dreco and received the coveted Certificate of Drecosity

When an item's Drecosity was not clear, additional scientific tests were included, such as the traditional Ten Foot Pole (TFP) test and the newer Drecometer. In the TFP test the operator holds a ten foot pole lightly and attempts to touch the piece. If the piece resists being touched by a 10 foot pole it is considered Dreco.
The Drecometer, invented in 1993 measures the Dreco waves and is considered more accurate on recent Dreco

After each roadshow session the audience voted to determine the top Dreco piece. Top honors went to Woolite Dreams

(See Below), which was generously donated to the Art Dreco Institute by Ms ______ _________ (name deleted by request)

The day was not without controversy, however. Drexler and chief scientist Paulino got into a heated debate over whether the Stone Cold Steve Austin 3D Sipper was Future Dreco or merely Kitsch. Later there were charges that the TFP test was inaccurately performed on a painting.

The enthusiastic reception to the Dreco Roadshow has convinced the Institute to make the Roadshow an annual event. The institute seeks a 2004 venue to inflict the Dreco Roadshow again upon the public. Send suggestions to Dreco Roadshow Location
